Current Hair Care Routine

Having naturally curly hair can be both a blessing and a curse. For the last couple of years I've dramatically changed my haircare routine, as I used to really mistreat and damage my hair in order to tame and control it.
Since then, thermal protectors have become my best friends, and the Aussie Take The Heat Leave in Conditioner is my most repurchased. I've made peace with the fact that trying not to use heat on my hair is nearly impossible, so using generous amounts of this  is the least I can do to protect it, and I can say that this was the first step in helping my hair grow longer.
The problem with curly hair is that it's also naturally frizzy, and the climate doesn't always help. So since I can't control the humidity, I've turned to the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Frizz Remedy hair mask. This hair mask apart from being one great smelling hair product, also does great in smoothing and rehydrating my hair.
Alternatively, as a mask I use the Monoi Tiki Tahiti coconut oil. Coconut oil can be used in a dozen ways: from makeup remover to moisturiser, but it's popular for doing wonders for your hair in particular. I leave it on my hair for as long as possible (even overnight if I can) and when I rinse it out my hair feels silky smooth.
The key product of my routine and the one I can't do a day without, is the GOSH Curl it Baby! Defining Cream, which I apply after I've dried and styled my hair. I've used a lot of different creams for curly hair and they're either so lightweight that they don't make any difference, or so heavy on my hair that they weigh it down and make it look greasy. This product though, is perfectly balanced as it really battles frizz without messing with the texture of my hair.

  1. I also like the "Aussi Take the Heat"! I just finished all up my third bottle and I' ll repurchase it very soon! I also want to try the Coconut Oil by Monoi Tiki but I' m afraid of its concistency. Do you think it could weight down my straight fine hair? Kisses, Martina from http://martinakappa.blogspot.gr/

  2. Yeah, the Take the Heat range by Aussie is great, I really like their stuff in general! I can't say for sure about the Coconut Oil, because it seems you have the exactly opposite hair type! It's just a hydrating hair mask, but a natural alternative! If you don't leave it overnight I don't see why it would weigh down your hair!
